Craniosacral Therapy in the Isle of Man

Craniosacral therapy is a hands on therapy which may assist the body's natural capacity for self repair. It is based around the gentle and natural motion of fluids which surround the spine and which have an influence on the whole body. During a treatment the client usually lies on a treatment couch. The therapist makes very gentle contact and 'listens' via the hands to the body and may identify and help to relieve pain and tension held there. This is a gentle therapy and it may be suitable for babies, children and the elderly and adults. It is particularly well known for helping those with back pain, stress, emotional problems, headaches and migraines. Many people may have heard of the benefits of craniosacral therapy for babies and small children. Restrictions arising during birth may result in babies having colic, sucking problems, breathing problems, restlessness and irritability. They may respond well to craniosacral therapy.
